From the street, the home presents a refined blend of traditional form and contemporary clarity: a respectful reinterpretation of the original bungalow silhouette with crisp lines, articulated roof planes, and a thoughtfully composed façade. The entrance is defined by a welcoming, recessed porch that anchors the composition and tempers scale, while carefully placed windows frame glimpses into the interior. Materials and proportions are chosen to balance neighbouring context with a refreshed architectural presence, making the arrival feel both familiar and distinctly elevated.

The project carefully retains the underlying form and key elements of the original bungalow, using them as a framework for a more contemporary and functional home. Where possible, the existing footprint and roof geometry were respected, ensuring the development remained grounded in its context and familiar in scale. New interventions were introduced selectively and with intent: extended rooflines, reconfigured openings, and contemporary additions are clearly legible yet proportionate, allowing old and new to sit comfortably together. Externally, material choices, window proportions, and detailing were carefully controlled to maintain a consistent architectural language, ensuring the updated home feels coherent from all viewpoints while delivering significantly improved light, space, and long-term usability.
